Ex-White House doctor Deborah Birx to highlight public health symposium

Dec. 7—Dr. Deborah Birx, the public health official who stood alongside former President Donald Trump at many of his COVID-19 press briefings, will be one of the keynote speakers Thursday in a symposium that examines politics and public health.

The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon at the Saint Anselm College Institute of Politics. It is hosted by the Dartmouth Health Office of Government Relations and Population Health and will "explore the political determinants of health and discuss how laws and regulations influence the health and economic prosperity of Granite Staters," Dartmouth Health said.

Also on hand will be Dr. Sally Kraft, the vice president of Dartmouth Health Population Health and Brandon Wilson, the director of the Center for Community Engagement in Health Innovation.

Registration is required for admission.
