How excited are UNC fans ahead of this matchup against Notre Dame?
As we get set for Week 4 in college football, the UNC football program is looking to go 4-0 on the year. But standing in their way is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
This isn’t the same Fighting Irish team that we are used to seeing as they enter the game 1-2 on the season. With the Tar Heels unbeaten and Notre Dame in town, the excitement is high.
How high? Well, with basketball season looming, everyone has that in their minds but this Tar Heels team is drawing excitement as well.
Here’s what Zack Pearson of Tar Heels Wire had to say about the vibe around the UNC football program to Fighting Irish Wire
“It’s a weird vibe. Basketball is king on campus. The men’s and women’s teams are supposed to be really good this year so everyone is waiting for the Fall and Winter. However, the football vibes are weird despite being 3-0 because of how bad the defense has been. UNC’s offense has carried them and they could easily be 1-2 instead of 3-0. If they beat Notre Dame, I believe the fan base will get a little more excited going into the ACC schedule.”
Just imagine having an unbeaten UNC team going into October as basketball practices begin. The vibes around Chapel Hill would be awesome, especially with two good teams playing.
