Here is a list of a few annual events happening in the High Desert.

Jolly Parade

Kicking off the holiday event countdown is the annual Jolly Parade from 4 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 15 in Hesperia.

Conducted by San Bernardino County sheriff’s and fire departments, the caravan of first responders will visit Ranchero Middle School (4 p.m.), Cedar Middle School (5 p.m.) and Hesperia Junior High (7 p.m.).

Each stop will include free candy, music and photos with Santa Claus.

Great Christmas Toy Giveaway - High Desert

The Victor Valley Rescue Mission will host its annual Great Christmas Toy Giveaway at four area churches, including:

  • Noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 14, at Helendale Community Church

  • 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 16, at Journey Foursquare Church, Adelanto

  • Noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 16, at Church of the Valley, Apple Valley

  • 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 16, at Calvary Chapel Victorville

Holiday Concert - Victorville

The Victor Valley College music department will host the Holiday Concert series beginning Dec. 14, at the college's Performing Arts Center on Bear Valley Road in Victorville.

Admission is free and no tickets are required. The concert lineup includes:

  • 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14: Jazz & Small Ensemble

  • 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15: Holly Jolly Bands in Concert

  • 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16: Choir & Orchestra Holiday Gala

  • 2:30 p.m. Dec. 17: Choir & Orchestra Holiday Gala

Santa and Car Show - Apple Valley

The Jess Ranch 3rd Annual Rockin’ Santa Holiday & Car Show by Inglis Classics is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 16.

The event will take place outside of the Cinemark movie theater at 18935 Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley.

Residents are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event that will include classic cars, entertainment, vendors and more.

Photos with Santa - Adelanto

Adelanto Little League will host Photos with Santa from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 16, at Richardson Park in Adelanto.

Residents need to bring their own camera for photos. Every child in attendance will receive a ticket for a bike raffle.

Dashing Through Kahoots - Hesperia

Santa Claus will meet pets and their owners from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 16, at Kahoots Feed & Pet store, 14466 Main Street Unit F in Hesperia.

Winter Music Festival - Adelanto

Fathers in Hip Hop will host the High Desert Winter Music Festival from noon to 8 p.m. on Dec. 16, at the Adelanto Plaza and Event Center, 12000 Stadium Way.

The youth-focused event will include live musical performances, a toy giveaway, vendors, and plenty of surprises.

Christmas Winter Wonderland - Hesperia 

High Desert Second Chance will host its Annual Christmas Winter Wonderland from 5 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 18, at 16666 Smoke Tree Street in Hesperia.

The event will include prizes, giveaways, a photo booth, free popcorn, hot dogs, music and photo opportunities with Santa.

Charlie Brown Christmas - Apple Valley

Church of the Valley will host its final Drive-In Cinema at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19, with the showing of the TV classic Charlie Brown Christmas.

The event will include games, hot chocolate and activities. The church is located at 20700 Standing Rock Avenue in Apple Valley.

Toy giveaway - Victorville

Pastrami Nation and Apollo Restaurant will host its annual Christmas Toy Giveaway at 2 p.m. on Dec. 20.

Children can take home a Christmas toy at the first-come, first-served event. To register, visit facebook.com/pastramination.

The restaurant is located at 14950 Seventh Street in Victorville.

Toys for Tots Bike Night - Apple Valley

Town’s End in Apple Valley is teaming up with Death Valley Harley-Davidson Victorville for Toys for Tots Bike Night on Dec 21.

At 5 p.m., bikers will gather at the Harley dealership at 14522 Valley Center Drive for an exclusive raffle.

At 6:15 p.m., riders will depart to Town’s End at 22092 Highway 18.

Riders and guests should bring an unwrapped toy for entry. There will be live music, vendors, biker games, special food menu, and raffle prizes all night long.

Frozen Christmas - Victorville

Victory Outreach Victorville will host a Frozen Christmas musical skit and toy giveaway at 7 p.m. on Dec. 22.

The church is located at 16534 Victor Street.
