Exclusive: Anthropologie’s Newest Event Space Is Your Dream Wedding Venue

Even for the most organized of couples, wedding planning and locking down your ideal style can be quite overwhelming–and Anthropologie hears you.

The retailer has opened yet another event space called Terrain Gardens in Pennsylvania, that will help couples of a certain style lock down one of their biggest wedding checklist items: finding the dream venue.

The logic behind Anthropologie’s latest expansion is simple since couples are already utilizing the brand for many of their wedding needs. The store itself offers eclectic home furnishing pieces, while there’s the boho-inspired bridal line BHLDN, which is another destination for those in search of ethereal wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses.

With the new event space, couples can actually plan their entire wedding to take place at Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard, from reception dinner to post-wedding brunch, with the romantic and dreamy feel of Anthropologie that’s attracted a cult following nationwide.

On September 1, Terrain Gardens hosted its first wedding for a couple who wanted their nuptials to truly reflect the classic aesthetic of Anthropologie. “Someone who books with Terrain Gardens is looking to share an experience with their guests that merges our horticultural focus in a retail setting,” says Brianna Alcorn of Terrain Events. “Best yet, the photo opportunities on such a unique property are limitless.”

The new venue includes multiple potential ceremony and reception spots, including a rustic reception room, a weather-protected porch for cocktail hour that overlooks the gardens, and a secluded hideaway that is basically a private enclave for the ceremony. All three spaces are able to accommodate parties of up to 150 guests.

In addition to those distinct spaces for the ceremony itself, Devon Yard also includes an on-site bridal suite for the wedding party to get ready before the nuptials. The adorable Terrain Cafe can easily cater the reception and even the post-wedding brunch with seasonal, locally-inspired menus that are paired with signature cocktails and hand-selected wines.

Deeply rooted in nature and plant life, Terrain Gardens seamlessly merges indoor and outdoor spaces to create color and texture combinations that are wholly unique to the venue. Additionally, the space utilizes such elements as reclaimed barn wood floors, overhead festival lights and skylights for an aesthetic that is definitely Instagram-worthy.

Alcorn refers to the venue as “visually inspiring,” and tells The Knot that the site can easily be transformed to fit any couple’s aesthetic with “hand-selected culinary offerings … the perfect lighting, table top décor, chairs, tables and other bespoke accessories that create an aesthetically cohesive experience.”
