"I'm just grateful to be here. I think about those 23 days that we spent filming in Georgia, and it was the greatest of my career," he said, adding: "Working with Natalie and Julie, with Todd Haynes. That was the cake, you never really think about anything other than that.

"But I did lose my Fantasy Football league," he joked. "I'm a little upset about that."

The actor also touched on his most "challenging" while filming, which involved a particular scene with co-star Gabriel Chung.

"There were many challenging moments, but for me the rooftop scene with Gabriel, who plays Charlie, I learned a lot that day as an actor to not get in the way of telling my character's story," he said.

"I just kept on going and I thought Joe had to get someplace. I was trying to get to a place where it was not my story to tell, but Joe's story to tell."
