Former UFC fighter turned bare-knuckle boxer Paige VanZant has been appearing on AEW television in recent weeks, alongside Dan Lambert's America's Top Team.

There's been talk of Paige following in the footsteps of Ronda Rousey and joining WWE for years but now she looks to be having the time of her life in AEW.

Though she's only been seen in segments alongside America's Top Team members (including her husband Austin Vanderford), many fans are hoping Paige could soon step in the ring.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Scorpio Sky – who is preparing to team with Ethan Page and MMA fighter Junior dos Santos to take on Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara – discussed the possibility of Paige wrestling for AEW.

"I've been a fan of her for a number of years," Scorpio said. "She's an incredible fighter. She's the person that goes in there and every single time she goes to war, and she's been doing bare-knuckle boxing on top of that, so she's a badass.

"You can't do anything but respect that. At the same time she's an entertainer and I think if she decided to cross over and be a little bit more serious and commit to doing professional wrestling I think she would be incredibly successful and would probably become an AEW champion in a very short period of time."

Just weeks before her first appearance in AEW, Paige – who has also competed on Dancing with the Stars – said that there was "interest on both sides" between her and WWE.

Teaming with Sky will be dos Santo's first pro wrestling match and Sky thinks that he and the other members of America's Top Team we've seen in AEW (Jorge Masvidal, Austin Vanderford and Andrei Arlovski) could all have a future in wrestling.

"I've actually mentioned it to them in the past, 'Hey, you know you guys could do this, you definitely have what it takes to do this,'" Sky said.

"Whether they want to do it, we'll see. I think they're just having fun and of course backing up Dan and backing up The Men of the Year and I'm very appreciative of it."
