Exclusive Video: TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ Season 17 Will Feature Randy Fenoli’s Family and More
TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress is 17 going on… dramatic. Back for its new season, the beloved reality show continues to document the touching (and oftentimes dramatic) moments that arise with the wedding dress shopping process. Lucky for you, The Knot has the exclusive first look at the events ahead in season 17 of SYTTD inside NYC’s storied Kleinfeld Bridal.
According to the press release, the season premiere of Say Yes to the Dress opens with a spotlight on Dancing With the Stars couple Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy. The dancing duo exchanged vows this summer, but two months before the nuptials took place, they ended up challenging the Kleinfeld team with the task of finding the ideal reception dress. (Remember, dancing is especially required at a DWTS wedding.)
Along with the stars, this season of Say Yes to the Dress also comes with plenty of tears—both happy and frustrating. A bride who’s lost her wedding gown in California’s devastating wildfires ends up receiving a lovely surprise from the team at Kleinfeld Bridal. On the other end of the shopping experience spectrum, one pregnant bride has to deal with some unsolicited feedback from friends while another faces rather harsh commentary from a family member.
Longtime Kleinfeld consultant Randy Fenoli will also take the spotlight this season with the second presentation of his eponymous fashion line. This time, he’s taking it to Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, arguably the biggest in the world. Along with fashion, he’s integrating family—the Fenoli fam, of course—into the series and he ends up attending his niece’s wedding. That event ends up being a big and heavily emotional family reunion.
