Exhibits honoring Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso coming to Cincinnati. Here's when

Exhibits honoring the legacies of two world-renowned artists are coming to Cincinnati this summer.

Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience, a 360-degree digital art exhibition that explores the world of French painter Claude Monet, is slated to open June 1 at the former site of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, downtown on 18 W. Fourth St. Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds, another exhibition celebrating the 75-year career of Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, will open at Cincinnati Art Museum on June 23.

The Claude Monet exhibit, organized by global art curator Exhibition Hub and live entertainment tech platform Fever, will feature 360-degree digital displays, projection mapping and a virtual reality tour of some of his most famous works, including "Poppies" and "Haystack."

The Picasso showcase, organized by American Federation of Arts with guest curator Laurence Madeline, will include over 40 paintings and sculptures from 25 public and private collections across the United States and Europe. According to a press release, the exhibit is part of Picasso Celebration 1973-2023, which consists of 50 exhibitions and events across Europe and North America that coincide with the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death.

Cincinnati Art Museum will be the second venue to host the exhibition, which is currently at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tickets for Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience go on sale Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m. and can be purchased through the Fever app or website. Prices start at $37.90 for adults and $21.90 for children. Children under 4 years old can enter for free.

After its debut, the exhibit will be open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets for Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds are currently on sale starting at $18 and can be purchased onsite or through the museum's website. Admission is free for members daily, nonmembers every Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. and for all during opening weekend, June 23-25.
