Experts mostly side with Eagles over Bengals in Week 3 NFL picks

A Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles is one of the more interesting challenges the Cincinnati Bengals will face in 2020 outright.

Those Eagles, after all, are a non-conference opponent and represent a bit of an unknown as a result. Add in a winless record despite a strong cast of talent and it’s hard to get a read on the matchup.

That’s what we have experts for, right?

Over at NFL Pick Watch 80 percent of the experts polled so far this week have sided with the Eagles over the Bengals at home.

Maybe this isn’t too shocking considering oddsmakers painted the Bengals as big underdogs in the opening lines despite both teams entering the game with winless records.

But the Bengals have always seemed to play better as underdogs anyway and this probably won’t be an exception, especially if the team shakes off more rust and Joe Burrow keeps playing.

Speaking of playing well, Burrow has stressed a sense of urgency for his team this week and Jessie Bates has made it clear he expects there to be big changes on defense if things don’t get better.
