Experts predict Clemson will play bowl game in Florida, either Orlando or Jacksonville

Experts agree that Clemson is headed to a college football bowl game in Florida.

But will it be Orlando or Jacksonville?

Seven of a top 10 among prognosticators have Clemson in the Dec. 29 (5:45 p.m., ESPN) Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando, while three have picked the Dec. 31 (11:30 a.m., ESPN) TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville.

Bowl bids will go out Sunday.

A few, such as the reliable Joe Giglio, a broadcaster at WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina, have switched from Jacksonville in the past few days. That would make sense with Orlando surely being interested in bringing a strong Clemson fan base to a city that has attractions like Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld.

N.C. State, which beat Clemson in double overtime during the regular season in Raleigh, also appears headed for one of the Florida bowls.

Giglio is in line with USA TODAY as well as Yahoo Sports, CBS Sports, Athlon, College Football News and Brett McMurphy of Action Network with picking Orlando. Six of those believe the Tigers (9-3) will face Iowa State (7-5) of the Big 12, while Giglio has them against Oklahoma (10-2) from that league.

ESPN and 247 Sports have Clemson in Jacksonville against SEC representative Texas A&M (8-4), while The Athletic has the opponent being Tennessee (7-5).
