Adam S., who was the first to review it on Dec. 15, wrote, "Great food, good portions, fantastic service. This place just opened and we happened upon it while heading to their sister restaurant next door. I had the breakfast tacos with potatoes O'Brien. Very tasty. My wife had the hempenadas and loved them."

Yelper Jason M. added, "Don't skip the white chocolate bread pudding, it's divine. Also, great wines at inexpensive prices. I've never had food and service this good in a counter service restaurant."

The new eatery is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on weekdays and 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. on weekends.

6121 W. Park Blvd.

Knife is a new steakhouse.

The restaurant offers brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert. Try a bacon tasting, featuring five varieties, or a charcuterie board. Butter-poached lobster, prawns and shrimp scampi are available on the seafood side of things. Bring a date and order the 32-oz. 44 Farms ribeye for two, which is dry-aged for 45 days. (See the full menu here.)

Post dinner, check out the cigar menu. (You can see what that includes here.)

With a three-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp, Knife is off to an uneven start with reviewers, but it's still early days.

Art A., who reviewed it on Dec. 11, said, "The food and service was fantastic. Definitely not your traditional steakhouse, so don't go expecting a serious formal dining experience. But service was great and attentive on a Saturday night. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. [The] sommelier was engaging and the bartender was also very helpful."

Amelia K., however, said, "There are many other local competitors that offer flavorful steaks that are half the price. I was not impressed with this restaurant and don't plan to return."

Hungry? Knife is open from 11 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. daily, except for Thursday when it's open from 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 5–10 p.m.

B. Frank and Relish is a new traditional American spot.

Start with the mushroom thyme crostini or the seared ahi over a bed of chilled soba noodles or greens with pickled cucumbers and carrots. If you're looking for some grub, there are burgers, sandwiches and fried chicken.

On the larger plates side, try the Rosewood Waygu filet, seared Chicago-style over a 650° mesquite wood grill, served with your choice of two sides, such as Brussels sprouts and broccoli mashed potatoes. Wine, beer and specialty cocktails will complement your meal. (Check it out here.)

B. Frank and Relish has gotten off to an uneven start thus far, with a three-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp.

Linda K., who was among the first to review it on Nov. 15, wrote, "This place is rather new, probably still needs some work. The decor is nice, service was okay. They do offer complimentary smoked pickles in a chilled mason jar. ... The Wagyu beef hot dog was dry and the proportion to the bun was off."

Yelper Brandon Y., however, said, “The appetizers have lots of flavor. Had low expectations for the salmon and yellowtail because this is not a sushi restaurant. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the fish—better than a lot of sushi restaurants here in Dallas. Entrees came out right as we finished our appetizers—flavor was good on both steaks."

Head on over to check it out: B. Frank and Relish is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.–11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
