Explore Oregon Podcast: 16 glorious Oregon summer road trips to camp, hike, swim, fish

In this episode of the Explore Oregon Podcast, Zach is joined by Oregon outdoors author Franziska Weinheimer, the owner and operator of the website HikeOregon.net, to talk about 16 glorious summer road trips that include hiking, camping, floating, fishing and exploring all corners of the Beaver State.

Zach and Franziska talk about a waterfall-filled road trip to Crater Lake National Park, a hidden corner of the Wallowa Mountains and campsites with dazzling swimming holes alongside — to name just a few.

Franziska is the author of the new book "Lakes of the Cascades: 50 Enchanting Oregon Lake Hikes," and so spends a lot of time breaking down her favorite alpine pools in Oregon's mountains, from the area outside Bend to Mount Hood.
