Explore Oregon Podcast: New campground, waterfall trail and village comes to Silver Falls

In this episode of the Explore Oregon Podcast, host Zach Urness talks about big new changes at Silver Falls State Park.

Park officials are planning a new trailhead and waterfall trail, a new campground and visitor's center, all while expanding the park by upgrading a backcountry area now known as the Smith Creek Village.

Urness talked to Silver Falls manager Chris Gilliand and Brooke Gerken, operator of the new Smith Creek Village with Silver Falls Hospitality.

Urness also details other updates at the park, including the return of tree climbing, along with its growing network of backcountry trails.
