Like exploring haunted places? Brewing Heritage Trail offering Darkside of Brewing Tour
If you've ever wanted to learn about the macabre history of brewing in Cincinnati, you're in luck.
Beginning Sept. 9 and running through Nov. 5, Cincinnati's Brewing Heritage Trail will host the Darkside of Brewing Tour – Tales of Cincinnati's Haunted and Gruesome Past. This limited-edition and seasonal guided tour will tell the gruesome and dark tales of Cincinnati's past, including grave robbing, a serial killing saloonist and other "murderous and deadly mayhem," according to a release.
The 1.5-hour haunted tour also includes a visit to an abandoned city street and a flashlight tour of an abandoned Cincinnati brewery's underground cellar complex. Led by a Brewing Heritage Trail guide, the outdoor guided tour stretches less than a mile, beginning and ending at the Brewing Heritage Trail Tour Center at 1939 Race St. in Over-the-Rhine.

Tours will run rain or shine, so visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, including comfortable footwear as the tour goes on both paved and unpaved surfaces. Everyone on the tour will be provided with a flashlight for the dark streets and underground cellar portion of the tour.
Tours will begin Sept. 9 and will run on Fridays and Saturdays at 6 and 8 p.m. And starting in October, a 6 p.m. Thursday evening tour will be added each week through the Nov. 5 end date.
Ticket prices are $29 for adults 13 and older and $15 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free. For tickets and more information, visit www.brewingheritagetrail.org.
