Explosion at ammo dump in Bulgaria, owner provided weapons to Ukraine
According to BNR, the explosion caused a fire, which has already been extinguished. Bulgarian emergency services say no one was injured in the blast. Following a drone survey of the area, Bulgarian authorities have decided to seal the area off for 72 hours.

According to EMKO’s owner, Emiliyan Gebrev, the facility contained obsolete ammunition that had been ordered but had not been paid for.
"There is no question of human error because there is no human error," said the owner of the warehouse.
“At 4 a.m. there was an explosion, and then the warehouse caught fire. No one can say what was inside. It is forbidden to go inside for 24 hours, but this is, actually, an ordnance that is no longer needed at the factory. Some company once ordered it, then due to non-payment they did not receive the goods, and we had no other choice but to store them there.”
EMKO has been supplying ammunition to Ukraine since 2014.

According to various media outlets, Russian agents have attempted to assassinate Gebrev, his son, and the director of his company, several times already – probably using the nerve agent Novichok.
Russian agents were involved in blowing up ammunition warehouses in the Czech city of Verbetice in 2014, which led to widespread damages and the death of two local residents. Those warehouses were used to store EMKO-made ammunition for Ukraine.

The Senate of the Czech Republic not only recognized that Russia and its special services were involved in the explosions in Vrbetice in 2014, but also qualified these actions as state terrorism.
