  1. A woman is dead and 9 people are injured after a large explosion destroyed a building in The Bronx (Fox Street near Intervale Avenue) Tuesday morning. (New York City Patch)

  2. Former Mayor Bill De Blasio announced in a twitter video that he is not running for governor, ending months of speculation on the topic. He said he would "devote every fiber of my being to fighting inequality in the state of New York," and acknowledged having made some mistakes during his tenure as mayor. (New York City Patch)

  3. 'We Are Winning' against omicron, according to Mayor Adams. He's referring to a significant drop in daily cases and hospitalizations over a seven-day period. But, he warned, community transmission is still at a high level. (New York City Patch)

  4. The ex-New York Post editor-in-chief, Col Allan, was accused of sexual harassment by former digital editor-in-chief Michelle Gotthelf, who was fired from the news organization earlier this month. The lawsuit accuses Allan of cultivating a "climate of misogyny" for more than a decade. (New York City Patch)

  5. New York City could be getting as many of three casinos, according to Governor Hochul's state-wide budget released on Tuesday. The governor's $216 billion budget also includes a tax cut on middle-income earners, provides $31 billion for schools, and puts $1.5 billion into SUNY and CUNY. (New York City Patch)

  6. An Upper West Side penthouse sold for a staggering $190 million, making it one of the most expensive real estate transactions in the city's history. (New York City Patch)
