The military airfield at Chornobayivka, used by the Russian invading forces as a base, is located to the north-west of the city of Kherson in the south of Ujraine.

“This morning a new episode of the legendary show was released (a reference to the Russian army’s constant misfortunes at Chornobayivka airport),” said Serhii Bratchuk, spokesman of the Odesa regional military administration.

“A powerful explosion thundered near the airport, where the Russians usually crowd near their vehicles.”

Kherson journalist Konstantin Ryzhenko also published a video with explosions and a column of smoke on Telegram, adding that he saw and heard such an explosion for the first time near Chornobayivka.

In recent days, explosions occurred in warehouses with enemy ammunition in a number of temporarily occupied cities. In particular, several of them took place in Nova Kakhovka after they were hit by the Ukrainian army on July 8.
