Explosions rang out in Zaporizhzhia on the night of 5-6 December, and an air-raid siren was sounded in the city and the oblast.

Details: The journalist from Suspilne reported that the sound of explosions was heard in Zaporizhzhia.

The information was also confirmed by the readers of Ukrainska Pravda. They said that three very loud explosions were heard in the city.

Anatolii Kurtiev, Secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, asked citizens to stay in shelters.

"Attention! Go to the nearest shelters and stay there!" he wrote on Telegram.

Updated at 01:30: Kurtiev said that residents can leave the shelter. An all-clear was sounded in Zaporizhzhia.
