Explosions in Russian Kaluga and Tula oblasts

Several explosions rang out in Russia's Kaluga and Tula oblasts on the night of 24-25 August, and Moscow airports temporarily stopped their operation.

Details: Baza said residents of Tula and Kaluga oblasts reported that they had heard the sounds of explosions and the air defence systems responding.

Sources noted that residents of the cities of Obninsk and Maloyaroslavets in Kaluga Oblast heard three or four explosions.

At the same time, TASS with reference to the aviation services reported that the Moscow airports Domodedovo and Vnukovo temporarily stopped take-offs and landings of planes.
