Do you have a business idea that is keeping you up at night? Are you thinking about making the leap and starting your own side hustle? Are you an entrepreneur looking to take your business to the next level?

If any of these sound like you, you’re not alone and are in luck. We’re bringing the Auburn University Entrepreneur Pop-Up Workshop to Gadsden on Feb. 23.

Through this workshop, we are bringing in resources from the AU campus including David Mixson from the Government & Economic Development Institute and Dr. Lakami Baker from the Harbert College Business to teach a half-day course to help you learn what to do with a business idea.

We will have representatives from the Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center and East Alabama Regional Planning Commission Revolving Loan Fund to talk about funding for your project.

Our partners at The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County and the Gadsden-Etowah Industrial Development Authority are helping us put on this unique event for entrepreneurs, since this is a vital part of our community’s economic development strategy.

The event will be held at from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Venue at Coosa Landing; lunch will be provided. We do need you to pre-register at aces.edu/go/entrepreneur to make sure that you have a seat and lunch.

Auburn University’s Entrepreneur Pop-Up Workshop has helped dozens of individuals and businesses throughout Alabama save time and money by better understanding how to create, communicate and commercialize business ideas using the Lean Startup and Business Model Canvas.

Join us for this half-day workshop to gain a better understanding of how to increase your odds of success prior to spending unnecessary time and money.

This program is presented through a partnership of the Auburn University Outreach Government and Economic Development Institute and the Auburn University Harbert College of Business, and is sponsored in part by the AU EDA University Center Program through a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
