Protesters from Extinction Rebellion blocked Amazon sites across the UK on November 26, Black Friday, saying it was to “confront the exploitative and environmentally destructive business practices of one of the world’s largest companies.”
This footage, posted on Twitter by Extinction Rebellion Cambridge, shows protesters gathered at an Amazon site in Peterborough. The video shows a group of protesters who were “locked on” to a structure outside the site.
Extinction Rebellion said 13 blockades were planned at Amazon fulfilment centers across the UK on Friday, at sites which they say account for over 50% of Amazon deliveries in the UK. Credit: Extinction Rebellion Cambridge via Storyful
