Need some extra cash for the holidays? Here’s who’s hiring for the season in Kansas City

Looking for some extra work over the holidays or in need of some quick cash for Christmas presents? Look no further.

There are tons of seasonal job openings in Kansas City, and we curated a list with some of what’s out there.

Aerotek

The company is hiring for warehouse workers who will be boxing packages onto semi trucks, taking inventory and scanning packages. There’s no daily quota, as Aerotek stated it’s just looking for people to work a full shift.

The pay range is between $17-19 an hour, and if you’re interested you can apply here.

Amazon

The massive corporation has plenty of seasonal jobs at its many locations throughout the metro. Fulfillment center warehouse associates in Kansas City, Kansas, can get up to $18.20 an hour with a $2,000 signing bonus, while delivery warehouse associates in Shawnee can make up to $20.30 an hour with a signing bonus that can go up to $3,000.

National Beef

The food distribution center is starting seasonal workers at $19.50 an hour with the opportunity to earn two dollars extra an hour for perfect attendance. You’ll be picking out products, packing coolers, loading trucks and scanning the product before they’re shipped off to grocery stores.

UPS

There are a lot of deliveries UPS will be making over the next month, and with that comes extra openings for delivery drivers. With 28 seasonal jobs in the area, such as being a seasonal personal vehicle package driver in Merriam. or handling packages at the Lenexa warehouse.

Both of those listings have salaries of $21 hourly, with an additional 56 cents per mile for personal vehicle package drivers. More seasonal listings with UPS can be found here.

If none of these interest you, or you don’t want to be on your feet most of the day, there are a few job fairs in the area that may have the right position that you’re looking for.

Job fairs

JobfairX is hosting a virtual job fair on Dec. 8. Past employers in Kansas City include Hallmark, GEICO and Fidelity. If those are one of your preferred options, this could be the opportunity to get there. Anyone interested in applying can do so here by clicking on the blue “register” button.

DiversityX, — a hiring company within JobfairX — is also hosting a virtual job fair on Dec. 8. This one is aimed towards helping marginalized communities find a job. It promises that by attending this event, you’ll be able to chat directly with hiring managers, get feedback on your resume and get hired on the spot.
