PLYMOUTH – A tribute to the music of the James Bond movies is on tap for the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra.

Music director Steven Karidoyanes will lead the orchestra in two performances of "Shaken, Not Stirred: Music of James Bond” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 and 3 p.m. Jan. 29 at Plymouth Memorial Hall.

“Who doesn’t get super-excited when the signature Bond theme roars off the screen of these action-packed movies? I know I do," Karidoyanes said.

The orchestra will play the sounds of 007 with a performance that showcases the Oscar-winning songs and scores from 27 Bond movies. "No Time to Die," from Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, won the Oscar for best original song at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony last year. It was the seventh Bond theme nominated for an Oscar. Other Oscar-winning songs are "Skyfall" by Adele and "Writing's on the Wall" by Sam Smith from the film "Spectre."

The band Jeans ‘n Classics will join the orchestra for Bond hits such as “Nobody Does It Better,” “For Your Eyes Only” and “Live and Let Die.”

"There isn’t enough concert time for us to play every song from every Bond film but, in the couple of hours we’ll have onstage together with our guest artists, we’ll perform most of them," Karidoyanes said.

A free shuttle will run to and from Memorial Hall beginning 60 minutes before the concert from the parking area of Hotel 1620.  The shuttle will return to the parking area following the concert.

Memorial Hall is at 83 Court St. Tickets range from $25 to $100 and can be bought by calling 508-746-8008 or online at plymouthphil.org.
