eyeTrade, an eyeglasses retailer with a vision

Nov. 21—COVENTRY — eyeTrade is an eyeglasses retailer with a vision: to provide affordable and trendsetting eyeglasses to its customers.

The business offers a wide variety of eyeglasses and sunglasses as well as sports and safety eyewear.

Want improved vision but don't want to wear glasses? eyeTrade has you covered. They offer contact lenses that will give you 20/20 vision.

Another reason to purchase your eyewear from eyeTrade is its frame and lens warranty.

The business' frames carry a two- year warranty against all manufacturer's defects.

" We will either repair it or, if necessary, return the frame ( with all returned parts) to be replaced," reads a statement from the eyeTrade website.

In addition, eyeTrade's Rx lenses have a two-year warranty against scratches and manufacturer's defects with a one- time lens replacement.

Exclusions to the frame and lens two-year warranty are theft, loss and highly discounted package pricing.

The quality of eyeTrade's glasses are second to none. They have partnered with a lab that offers the best advancements in lens design and quality workmanship.

Like fingerprints, eyeTrade knows that no two eyes are exactly the same. That is why their precise measuring system customizes a patrons' frame and lens choice to their eyes.

The business will also clean and adjust a patrons' glasses as often as needed at no charge.

However, it is eyeTrade's customer service that truly sets the business apart from other eyeglasses stores.

" I want people to love their glasses," said Sonya Maher, owner and licensed optician at eyeTrade. " Glasses are like jewelry on people's faces."

Maher has been in love with trends and fashion her whole life and applied this passion to her career in the optical industry.

As eyeTrade's sole employee, Maher brings a lot of experience to her position. She started her career in optics at LensCrafters and also worked for many years at TotalVision Eyecare in Glastonbury.

Maher opened eyeTrade in 2018. Recently, she bought the building next to eyeTrade's original location to give the business more space. The newly renovated business is also handicap accessible.

Maher said that in the near future, the business will be hiring a new eye doctor as well as some additional employees to help around the store.

Moving forward, Maher will continue to provide high quality eyeglasses to her customers.

" I strive to provide the highest vision care for the families in our community," Maher said on the eyeTrade website.

She added that she will continue to offer state of the art eyeglasses and contact lenses.

" I will maintain state of the art technology and continued education in my field, which allows me to deliver my promise to you," Maher said. " Providing affordable and trendsetting designer eyewear is the hallmark of eyeTrade. I want you to LOVE your glasses!"
