Facebook Data Center taking shape in Los Lunas

The Facebook Data Center in Los Lunas has grown a lot over the past few years. The company expects about $1 billion dollars to be invested in New Mexico. By the time the data center is complete, there will be 350 permanent jobs on site. "We love to hire locally in our data center communities. We do have a number of employees that live and work in, in Valencia County,” Said Community Development Regional Manager Holli Davies said. Davies also said, Facebook is community driven and the support of Valencia County has been outstanding. The data center gave both Los Lunas and Belen school districts, $100,000 dollar grants towards education and technology funding last year. “Facebook is committed to the long-term vitality of Valencia County and the future of the wonderful community is so important to us.” Davies said. Davies added Los Lunas was the perfect spot for their data center with its wide range of resources.
