At 6 feet 3, does your height give you an advantage over hitters?

Yes, my height gives me an advantage because the balls release higher when I pitch and I have a more intimidating mound presence.

How did you get started pitching?

I started pitching when I was 8 and realized I wanted to pursue it as my position when I discovered my natural talent for it.

What has been your favorite baseball memory at McCallum?

My favorite McCallum baseball memory is playing against Anderson my freshman year. It was special playing against the kids I grew up playing baseball with.

What is your go-to pitch?

My go-to pitch is the fastball. This is because it’s the easiest pitch to locate and the most satisfying to throw.

Do you have any baseball rituals or superstitions?

The only sort of ritual I can think of is when we are warming up and run the center field, I never touch the fence.

If you could have dinner with four people in the history of the world, who would they be?

I would invite Kevin Hart, Denzel Washington, Mike Trout and, of course, my beautiful girlfriend, Camille Wilson.

I chose him because he’s one of the best baseball players and I’d love to ask him some questions about the weather.

Most people don’t know that my favorite food is sushi.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I would want the power of invisibility because I could disappear whenever I want.

What do you consider the world's greatest invention?

I consider air conditioning to be the world’s greatest invention because I am often hot.

What has been your favorite vacation?

My favorite vacation has been to Denver, Colo., because we stayed at the Union Hotel, which is a really interesting place to stay, and we got to see a Broncos and a Rockies game.
