The claim: Photo shows Glastonbury 2022 after Greta Thunberg climate change speech

At this year's Glastonbury music festival, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg spoke about the need for immediate action to address climate change.

Some social media users are now claiming that a photo showing trash-strewn Glastonbury festival grounds was taken following Thunberg's speech.

"The aftermath of Glastonbury, where they all cheered in support of Greta Thunberg who was flown in to lecture on the planet, the largest gathering of hypocrites," reads a June 27 Facebook post featuring the image.

The post received a handful of interactions, but a June 27 Instagram version written in Portuguese received nearly 100,000 likes.

The claim also spread on Twitter.

But the claim is wrong. The photo shows Glastonbury in 2015.
