The claim: Trump canceled his North Carolina rally and attendees aren’t being given refunds

Former President Donald Trump postponed a Greensboro, North Carolina, rally scheduled for July 15, after the New York attorney general requested his deposition in a civil investigation into Trump family business dealings.

A July 13 Facebook post claimed that scheduling change resulted in a financial hit for would-be attendees. The post received 1,200 shares in a week.

"45 cancelled (sic) his rally in NC and isn't giving them refunds," the post reads. "Some tix went for $4000. The only difference between 45 and Jim Jones is that 45 would charge you fools for the Kool-aid."

But the rally was postponed, not canceled. And the American Freedom Tour, which is hosting the event, is offering attendees refunds for their tickets.
