Our rating: False

This is not genuine evidence of a real human giant. It is a computer-generated image from a 2007 Japanese movie trailer.

Footage is from movie trailer

The footage in this post is from a movie trailer for "Big Man Japan," an action-comedy that premiered in 2007.

Each clip from the post is displayed within the first 24 seconds of the movie trailer, which was posted on YouTube in 2012.

"The giant and the monsters are computer-generated," reads the movie's IMDb page.

While there have been exceptionally tall people, there is no evidence that a genuine race of giants ever existed, experts previously told USA TODAY.

Fact check: False claim of giant human skeletons being discovered in Ohio

"It would be great if there were giants!" W. Scott McGraw, the chair of Ohio State's anthropology department, said in October. However, this idea solely comes from "creativity and imagination."
