A description of the TV movie premiering Dec. 1 from Lifetime's website offers insight into the reunion project.

"Inspired by true events, Emma (Kim Fields) returns to her hometown built around her family's pioneer Christmas Light Factory two weeks before Christmas. However upon Emma's return, she discovers the lights have gone dim in the once festive town, prompting her to reconnect with an old flame to set their hearts and the town ablaze with light again."

Fields, who also serves as executive producer, said in a press release the group is "a family so it was great to work together on something new!”

"It’s been amazing to work together again and have the ladies’ input on their characters from their wardrobe to names, as well as provide fun inside jokes for fans,” she said in her statement. Fields added an ice skating rink featured in the movie was named after their former "Facts" co-star Charlotte Rae (Edna Garrett), at Fields' request. Rae died on Aug. 5, 2018 at the age of 92.

Fields also posted a behind-the-scenes look at the movie on her Instagram Monday, which earned a comment full of star emojis from Cohn.
