FAFSA delays continue to impact local colleges

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Universities and prospective college students across country are being faced with a major issue this year.

The U.S. Department of Education is delaying when colleges will receive financial aid data from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Gerardo Ochoa, vice president of enrollment management with Linfield University in McMinnville, stopped by AM Extra to explain the impact of this delay on students and colleges.
