Fairbury Bloodmobile collects 55 units, has four first-time donors during May drive

FAIRBURY — There were four first-timers donating to the Fairbury Bloodmobile at its May event. The bloodmobile, which was held at the First United Methodist Church on May 24, collected 55 units.

First-time donors were Lawton Bell of Fairbury, June Yoder of Forrest, David Coomer of Chenoa and Patricia Hammel of Paxton.

Donors reaching milestones were Jessica Embrey, Chatsworth, one gallon; Kent Edelman, Fairbury, Paul Fairley, Fairbury, and Brian Plenart, Forrest, all reaching two gallons; Curtis Meiss, Fairbury, three gallons; Aaron Gerber, Fairbury, five gallons; Beth Weeks, Fairbury, 10 gallons; Craig Ziller, Fairbury, 14 gallons; and John Vitzthum, Pontiac, 18 gallons.

Other donors included Richard Stoller, Jan Lancaster, Kevin Meiss, Lisa Kilgus, Jennifer Deschepper, Mary Zimmerman, Robert Bradbury, Alice Gordon, Greg Hish, Steve Hall, Bethany Brucker, Wes Goodin, Joan Gerber, Montie Gerber, Bryan Aberle, Denise Doran, Erin Bittner, Shelley Schahrer, David Hammer, Paul Harms, Jayna Leman, Steven Maurer, Anne Nugent, Nancy Stadler, Loren Steidinger, Donna Maurer, Phil Yoder, John Teubel, Kyle Buchanan, Donna Delaney, Lucinda Endres, Steven Endres, Michael Kessinger, Martha Fehr, Brad Maley, Darl Rassi, Thane Zehr, Joshua Kaeb, John Krueger, Catherine Wahls, Richard Barsema, Barry Kaisner, Valla Broquard, Lynn Barnett, Theresa Thomas, Christine Barham, Michael Blackwell, Matt Thomas, Denise Hammer, Linda Ambrose, James Yoder and Craig Davis.

The St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society donated a Dave’s Supermarket gift card to provide food. Cookies were donated by Joann VanAntwerp, Marcia Oprondek, Linda Ambrose, Jeanette Coomber, Mary Carter, Janet Beyer, Sharon McCoy, Barb McCoy and Kim McWilliams.

Teresa Palen, Liz Freeland, Mary Carter, Deb Moran, Darna Lee Dearth, Judy Bennett, Randy Lane, Shelley Schaher, Linda Zick, Barb Taylor, Kathy Fehr, Harold Meister, MaryAnn Stork, Lolita Dunahee, Sharon McCoy, Jeanie Searby, Teresa Thomas, Jeannea Shier and Angie Wenger volunteered at the bloodmobile.
