Fairfax County police arrest man connected to 2021 massage parlor robbery

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Detectives in Fairfax County were looking for additional victims after arresting a man they believe to be responsible for multiple massage parlor robberies.

At around 10:50 a.m. on Sept. 9, officers responded to reports of a robbery at the Deep Blue Massage on Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners.

Officers said that a man entered the business with a handgun and a stun gun, assaulted two employees, and stole money.

The two employees were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Detectives recovered surveillance footage of the attacker and his vehicle. Officers said they identified Mohamed Tahir, 33, of Falls Church. He was taken into custody the same night and charged with robbery, strangulation, and two counts of abduction.

After arresting Tahir, detectives said that he matched the description of a suspect wanted in a similar robbery from 2021.
