KEY ACTION: The board entered into an agreement with the 95 Group for new phonics curriculum at an approximate cost of $33,000.

DISCUSSION: District Curriculum Director Julie Weyandt explained the updated reading program for elementary students.

In another matter, several people approached the board about transportation to extracurricular events with a shortage of bus drivers. Superintendent Broc Bidlack said the district is encouraging coaches and individuals to get a commercial driver's license so they can drive a van or bus for extracurriculars.

“We wanted to explain to those attending the meeting what we wanted to accomplish so the students had transportation,” Bidlack said.
