Fairview High School's new principal Chris Butler is an alumnus and longtime teacher

What would it be like if a student ran a school?

Chris Butler, a 2003 graduate of Fairview High School, is about to find out.

Butler was recently named principal of alma mater. He will lead the Yellow Jackets community during the 2022-23 school year.

“The Fairview community is second to none in its passion and desire to support the students and staff of Fairview High,” Butler said. “I cannot wait to get started spreading Jacket Pride across the school and community of Fairview.”

Butler is already a familiar face for Fairview teachers and students. He's taught there since 2012 and was named assistant principal in 2016. As a student, he suited up for the Yellow Jackets on the football field.

“As a product of Fairview, Chris is invested in the community and in making sure students receive every opportunity to reach their fullest potential,” Williamson County Schools superintendent Jason Golden said in a press release. “I’m confident that he will continue to build upon the success Fairview High has experienced in recent years.”
