The Tannenhauf Women’s Golf Association hosted its annual Member-Guest Day on Thursday, July 7, 2022. The theme for the day was “Soak Up the Sun”.  Thirty members and eight guests enjoyed playing a scramble and sharing a luncheon prepared by Tannenhauf.  The winning team is pictured, left to right:  Member  Linda Anderson, guest Cheryl Dannemiller, member Connie Poto, and guest Peggy Cindia with a score of 36.

Proximity winners were:  Longest Putt for guests – Leigh Mainwaring;  Longest Putt for members – Karen Black;  Closest to the Pin for guests – Cheryl Dannemiller;  Closest to the Pin for members – Donna Robles;  Long Drive for guests – Patty Hampu;  Long Drive for members – Peg Engelhart.

Mike Rogers Memorial

The fifth annual Mike Rogers Memorial golf outing, benefitting the Mount Union baseball program, will be held at 1 p.m. August 27 at Tannenhauf Golf Club.

The cost is $80 per person or $320 for a foursome. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Deadline to enter is August 19. Call 330-802-1883 for more information.

Carnation Scramble

The 27th annual YWCA Carnation Scramble will be held at 9 a.m. August 5 at Tannenhauf Golf Club.

The cost is $75 per person. There is a maximum of 32 four-person teams. Entry forms can be found at allianceywca.org and tannenhaufgolf.net. For more information call 330-823-1840 or 330-823-4402.

Holes-in-one

Jamie Burmeister of Alliance scored a hole-in-one on the 17th hole at Sleepy Hollow on July 2. Burmeister used a pitching wedge on the 122-yard hole. Rob Devies, Robert Lavery, Jimmy Green and Rick Lee were the witnesses.

Jeff Stormer of Suffield had a hole-in-one on the No. 4 hole at Tannenhauf Golf Club on July 4. He used an 8-iron on the 175-yard hole. Witnesses were Charles Price, Raymond Berry and Daniel Buckeye. This was Stormer's first career ace.
