Ontario church to host educational series

ONTARIO — First Wesleyan Church of Ontario is beginning a 10-week series Sunday titled "A+ Attitudes: learning how to live like Jesus through the Beatitudes." Pastor Ray will help to break down the difference between efforts to clean ourselves up for God and the true meaning of the Beatitudes, which is to help us to see how the Spirit makes us new as we draw nearer to Christ.

First Congregational to hold Family Fun Night

A Community Family Fun Night will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at First Congregational Church of Mansfield, 640 Millsboro Road. The free event offers food, games and a live presentation from the Ohio Bird Sanctuary. Entrances to parking will be available on Millsboro Road and Sloane Avenue.

All Souls welcomes guest speaker Sunday

BELLVILLE — All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Bellville, 25 Church St., welcomes Hayley Young as guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Young's presentation is titled "The Time is NOW: Mindfulness and the Art of Simply Being." She will discuss how and why to use this tool we all possess to regulate emotions, make better decisions and become more present in our lives and in relation to one another.
