The Constantine boys ran away with another track and field invitational title on Friday.

This time it came at home, where the Falcons posted a team score of 141.5 points, finishing ahead of Schoolcraft’s 75 and Buchanan’s 70. White Pigeon was sixth with 47, Bronson was eighth with 28 points.

Dean Topolski claimed second place in a pair of individual events. He had a time of 23.47 seconds in the 200 dash and 51.74 seconds in the 400. Julian Hawthorne finished second himself in the 800, he posted a time of 2:09.28 while Collin Featherstone was third at 2:12.38.

Ethan Glick ran to third place in both distance races. He posted a time of 4:48.55 in the mile run and 10:13.34 in the two-mile.

Elijah Qualls of White Pigeon posted a time of 46.85 seconds to claim third in the 300 hurdles.

In the 400 relay, White Pigeon came in second. The team of Dylan Carper, Caleb Lane, Todd Hollingsworth and Braxton Neeley came in with a time of 46.01 seconds.

Constantine’s 800 relay finished second. The team of Brayden Clark, Charles Morris, Topolski and Donovan Miller posted a time of 1:34.78. The White Pigeon team of Neeley, Carper, Hollingsworth and Lane ran a time of 1:35.87 for third.

Constantine won the mile relay. The squad of Hawthorne, Featherstone, Morris and Topolski posted a time of 3:33.08 in that one. White Pigeon came in second. The foursome of Carper, Josh Davidson, Hollingsworth and Mekhi Singleton ran a time of 3:43.24.

The Falcons and Chiefs finished 1-2 in the two-mile relay as well. The Constantine team of Hawthorne, Glick, Isaac Moore and Featherstone ran a time of 8:50.85 in that one. White Pigeon’s team of Davidson, Preston Delarye, Singleton and Jack Williams posted a time of 9:19.31 for second.

Seth Miller of White Pigeon was second in the shot put at 44-3. Jordan Shadix of Bronson claimed third place at 42-11.

Bennett VandenBerg won the discus at 135-8.

Bronson’s Boston Bucklin claimed second in the high jump, clearing 5-10.

Brody Jones of Constantine came in second in the pole vault at 10-6.1, Michael Featherstone finished third at 10-6.

Hawthorne also won the long jump with a leap of 18-5.

In the girls’ event, Quincy claimed first place with 115 points and Kalamazoo Hackett was second with 100. Constantine came in fourth with 71, Bronson was seventh with 36 and White Pigeon finished eighth with 17.

Jaiden Hayes of Bronson won both hurdle events. She ran a time of 18.28 seconds in the 100 and 51.48 seconds to win the 300. Constantine’s Abigail Flores was third in the 100 at 18.70 seconds, she claimed a time of 51.58 seconds in the 300 for second.

Sidney Swick ran to second place in the two-mile run at 12:59.48.

Constantine won the 800 relay. The team of Cami McMillin, Natalie Whitaker, Jessica Ambs and Riley Smith posted a time of 2:01.04 in that event. The Lady Falcons were second in the mile relay. The team of Flores, Whitaker, McMillin and Smith posted a time of 4:29.48.

In high jump action, McMillin was second at 4-10. Caterina Thelen came in second place in the pole vault, she cleared 8-0.

John Green Invitational

The annual John Green Invitational was held in Mendon on Friday.

The Centreville boys took home first place with 158 points, Union City was a distant second with 88 followed by Martin with 78. Colon placed fourth with 58, Mendon was sixth with 36.

The Athens girls won with 180 points. Centreville came in second with 102 and Union City was third with 83 points. Mendon took fourth with 69 points, Colon came in fifth with 41.

Alex Stoll of Colon won three events on the day. He claimed first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.48 seconds, first in the 300 hurdles at 43.21 seconds and first in the 100 dash at 11.59 seconds. He was also third in the 200 with a time of 23.73 seconds.

Centreville’s Dylan Coney won the long jump, clearing 19-2. Coney also ran to first place in the 200 dash with a time of 23.43 seconds. Coney finished second in the 100 dash at 11.62 seconds.

Joshua Falkenstein took first place for Centreville in the 400, he ran a time of 53.06 seconds. Ethan Miller claimed first in the 800 with a time of 2:09.88, Chaseton Wyckoff finished second at 2:10.87.

Logan Weis ran to first place in the two-mile run, he posted a time of 11:14.73.

Centreville won the 400 relay. The team of Cody Marshall, Brandon Reed, Carter Cartier and Gavin Bunning posted a time of 46.39 seconds. Centreville also won the 800 relay as Tyler Swanwick, Joshua Falkenstein, Jacob Falkenstein and Coney posted a time of 1:32.68.

Centreville won both of the distance relays as well. The team of the Falkensteins, Miller and Swanwick ran a time of 3:33.38 to win the mile relay. Miller, Reed, Weis and Wyckoff won the two-mile relay at 9:04.58.

Swanwick took first place in the high jump, clearing 6-3.

Simon Vinson of Colon was second in the long jump, he leaped 19-0.75 feet.

Mendon’s Presley Allen won the mile run at 5:27.00, finishing almost 20 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Allen also won the two-mile run at 11:45.88, Colon’s Noemi Cester came in second place at 12:51.63.

Keyara Szymanski won both throwing events for Mendon. She posted a distance of 33-11 in the shot put and 100-2 in the discus.

Alexis Ames of Mendon ran to second place in the 100 dash at 13.80 seconds.

Autumn Major’s time of 2:39.46 was good for second place in the 800 run.

Gabby Bowen ran to second place in the 100 hurdles, she posted a time of 16.68 seconds.

The Centreville 400 relay team of Bella Kangas, Bowen, Bella Kessler and Jade Kuhbander came in second at 53.23 seconds. Centreville’s mile relay team of Kuhbander, Major, Kessler and Zoe Miller was second as well at 4:29.10.

Winning the 800 relay was the team of Bowen, Kessler, Miller and Kuhbander came in first place at 1:52.91.

The two-mile relay saw Colon’s team place second. Macey Burgess, Azealia Lafler, Megann Mullins and Cester ran a time of 11:28.73 in that event.

Kangas won the high jump at 5-0. Mara Webb placed second with a jump of 4-9.

Mendon’s Alivia Stuart finished second in the pole vault at 7-0.

Miller won the long jump at 14-10, Webb placed second at 13-5.5 feet.
