Falcons are 2.5-point favorites over the Dolphins

The Atlanta Falcons return from their bye week to take on a struggling Miami Dolphins team this Sunday. The Falcons’ last game was a 27-20 win over the Jets in London, while the Dolphins are coming off a 23-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 6.

Per the oddsmakers at Tipico Sportsbook, Atlanta is a 2.5-point favorite over Miami.

Against the Spread

  • Falcons: -2.5, -120 (Wager $120 to win $100; cash out: $220)

Money Line

  • Falcons: -140 (Wager $140 to win $100; cash out: $240)

Over/Under

  • Over: 47.5 points -105 (Wager $105 to win $100: cash out: $205)

  • Under: 47.5 points -115 (Wager $115 to win $100; cash out: $215)

Where to put your money in Week 2

  • Falcons win outright: -140

There are a number of things working against the Dolphins. Having just returned from London, they still could be in a sense of recovery. Additionally, their quarterback situation is an absolute mess. Tua Tagovailoa, who’s been on and off the injury report, will play against the Falcons. However, it appears the former Alabama QB’s time in Miami could be coming to an end as the Deshaun Watson trade talks pick up more steam.

  • Over points total: 47.5: -105

Only twice this season has the Dolphins scored more than 17 points (20 against the Jaguars, 28 against the Raiders). However, I am confident the Falcons will score points. On four occasions this year, the Dolphins have allowed 27 or more points. Three times they have allowed over 30.
