Falfurrias motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle crash in Jim Wells County

A Falfurrias man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Business 281 in Jim Wells County Friday morning.

At 7:09 a.m., a white Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound on Business 281 when the driver made a U-turn to travel southbound near mile post 676 and collided with a motorcycle, a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation stated.

The motorcycle driver was ejected and sustained significant injuries. He was airlifted to a Corpus Christi hospital, where he died of his injuries. The motorcyclist was identified as 39-year-old Anthony Roy Mora.

The Tahoe was occupied by a female driver whose identity was not released. It's not clear if the driver will face charges.

DPS troopers are further investigating the crash, the release stated.
