It’s fall festival season. Here’s 11 going on plus 11 other Lexington weekend events

Here is a Lexington list and guide of the best weekend events around Central Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday if you are bored and need things to do from live music concerts, festivals featuring games, rides and food, comedy shows, local concerts, arts and crafts fairs, kid-friendly events, book signings, musical theatre plays, opera performances, fall festivals and bourbon sampling events.

Alley Fest Music Festival in Paintsville

“American Idol” winner Noah Thompson, Kentucky Music Hall Of Fame inductees Crystal Gayle and John Michael Montgomery, North Carolina’s American Aquarium and others will perform at the second annual Alley Fest in Paintsville taking place through Oct. 1. Friday and Saturday passes are $40 each and multi-day passes are $70. 241 Main St, Paintsville.

Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival in Middlesboro

Town Mountain, Arlo McKinley, Mike & The Moonpies, Bella White and others will perform during the free-to-attend Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival in downtown Middlesboro taking place through Oct. 1. Other activities include a car show, cornhole tournament, craft and food vendors and more.

Oktoberfest in downtown Harrodsburg

It’s time for Oktoberfest in Harrodsburg, with thousands of people flocking to Main Street for free concerts, arts and crafts, adult games, kids activities and of course beer and food. The festival runs Sept 30 4 p.m.-midnight, Oct. 1 10 a.m.- midnight and Oct. 2 noon-6 p.m.

Festival Latino de Lexington

Celebrate Latin American art and culture during Festival Latino de Lexington Sept. 30 5 p.m.-11 p.m. and Oct. 1 4 p.m.-11 p.m. at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza, 120 N Limestone. There will be live music, dance, visual arts and food.

Musical: ‘The Grunch’ at The Spotlight Playhouse in Berea

Inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” Berea’s Spotlight Playhouse will host three performances of “The Grunch” this weekend at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 2. Tickets are $6-16. 214 Richmond Rd N, Berea.

Woodford Theatre: ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

Woodford Theatre will present the musical play “Little Shop of Horrors” three times this weekend at the Falling Springs Recreation Center, 275 Beasley Rd. Versailles. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and 2 p.m. Oct. 2. Tickets are $25 for an adult, $18 for student.

Comedian Greg Warren at Comedy Off Broadway

Comedian Greg Warren will perform at Comedy Off Broadway on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 1 at 6:30 and 9 p.m., with both Oct. 1 shows being taped. Tickets are $15-18. 161 Lexington Green Cir #C4.

UK Opera Theatre: ‘The Magic Flute’ at the Lexington Opera House

The UK Opera Theatre will perform Mozart’s classic “The Magic Flute” during a series of performances this weekend at the Lexington Opera House. Show times are on Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 1 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $47. 401 W Short St.

Bruce Springsteen ‘Nebraska’ tribute concert at The Fishtank

Willie Eames, Rhyan Sinclair, Lance Rogers and other Central Kentucky based musicians will celebrate the 40 year anniversary of Bruce Springsteen’s album “Nebraska” during a tribute concert at The Fishtank on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. 500 Euclid Ave.

Vinyl Richie concert at The Burl

Vinyl Richie will be cranking out all of your favorite 90’s hits during a concert at The Burl on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12. 375 Thompson Rd.

Justin Wells, Sydney Adams concert at The Virginia in Somerset

Two of Kentucky’s brightest and most contrasting country music talents, Justin Wells and Sydney Adams, will team up for a concert at The Virginia in Somerset on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15. 214 E Mt. Vernon St, Somerset.

Wilmore Arts And Crafts Festival

Wilmore’s 24th annual arts and crafts festival will take place on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Available will be everything from knitted and crocheted items to candles, soap, shaker boxes, wreaths, farmhouse signs, jewelry, baskets, woven items, body care products, dog treats, wrought iron furniture, pottery, food trucks, pony rides, live music and more. Millstone Festival in Richmond

Dreaming Creek Brewery and the City of Richmond will host the second annual Millstone Festival on the streets of downtown Richmond on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. The event will include craft, food and alcohol/liquor vendors along with a kid’s area, petting zoo, car cruise and live music from Grayson Jenkins and others. The event is free to attend.

Grasstober Music Festival in Winchester

Restless Leg String Band, Driftwood Gypsy, Matt Fassass and others will perform during the free-to-attend Grasstober Music Festival in downtown Winchester on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. 21 E Broadway St, Winchester.

Oktoberfest at West Sixth Brewing

West Sixth Brewing is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration at its original Lexington location on Oct. 1 at noon.
