Fall River, PVD Food Truck Events team up for summer series at Gates of the City

FALL RIVER — The summer food scene in Fall River is about to become even more delicious.

The city is teaming up with PVD Food Truck Events for a series of food truck nights at the Gates of the City.

Fall River Food Trucks at the Gates will take place on three Thursday nights during the summer: June 2, July 7, and Sept. 1. They'll all start at 5 p.m.

There will be a rotating group of more than a dozen food trucks, live music, and beer and wine, supplied by Troy City Brewery, Primo Catering, and Gooseneck Vineyards.

In order to provide more space for these events, the city will be closing a portion of Ponta Delgada Boulevard and Water Street, Mayor Paul Coogan's Office announced in a press release.

Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets to these events.

“We are thrilled that PVD Food Truck Events has chosen Fall River as their newest location,” Coogan said in a press release. “Not only will these events provide some family fun for our residents, they will also introduce visitors from across Southern New England to Fall River’s waterfront. Our hope is that residents and visitors alike will come down to the Gates, enjoy local food and beer, and explore Fall River’s growing waterfront.”
