Jackson District Library — Brooklyn Branch is offering fall storytime programs at 11 a.m. weekly on Thursdays for young children, ages 0-5. JDL storytimes offer age-appropriate books, music and activities for babies, toddlers, families and young children. Most importantly, they help develop everyone’s imagination. Fall storytime programs will run weekly until Nov. 30.

Columbia Animal Clinic is hosting “Feral Cat Day” from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6. During this trap/neuter/release day, the doctors and staff at Columbia Animal Clinic will be performing a spay/neuter, rabies vaccination ($23 value), ear-tipping and parasite control treatment (a $28 value) on each cat scheduled this day. Downtown Brooklyn’s Pumpkin Quest is coming up from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, on the square. This free event is full of games and activities for the kids. Find more on Facebook.

The Irish Hills Eagles have the following specials coming up: Tuesday, Sept. 27, they will be offering pulled pork with chips all day for $8, members only. On Wednesday, Sept. 28, they are offering $1 coney dogs for members only, beginning at 11 a.m. On Friday, Sept. 30, they will have meat lasagna dinners for $9 from 5 to 7 p.m., and the public is welcome. They are also holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 2. Adults are $7 and children 10 or younger are $3. The public is welcome to attend. The Irish Hills Eagles are at 9500 Wamplers Lake Road in Brooklyn.

Women Empower Hour is coming up from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at The Winery North of 12. All female entrepreneurs, leaders and independent warriors are invited to attend this panel discussion and networking event. Cost is $15 per person for Irish Hills Regional Chamber members and $30 for nonchamber members. This event also features a bouquet bar courtesy of Black Dog Meadows Flower Farm. The Irish Hills Regional Chamber of Commerce is planning the event “Mind, Body & Soul — A Health and Wellness Fair” for 2 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Michigan International Speedway.
