Nov. 2—A 51-year-old Falls man is facing a number of charges after leading Niagara Falls Police on a roughly 17-minute vehicle pursuit Wednesday evening.
Around 9:26 p.m., Falls police stoped a white Dodge Avenger in the 2300 block of Pine Avenue. The vehicle initially stopped for officers but within 30 seconds, the vehicle fled with officers following.
The pursuit, which mostly took place in the city's South End, ultimately ended at Lewiston Road and Garfield Avenue. The driver was taken into custody. Niagara Falls Fire and AMR responded after he complained of difficultly breathing. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance under police supervision.
In addition, officers located a very small quantity of suspected crack cocaine in the vehicle, which was recovered by narcotics detectives.
