Falmouth Road Race will affect Sunday schedule for ferries to the Vineyard

WOODS HOLE — The 50th Falmouth Road Race on Sunday is expected to affect the schedules for the ferries run that morning by the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority. Ferry officials warn passengers to plan ahead.

Due to the race route, access to the Woods Hole Terminal via Woods Hole Road will be limited until 8 a.m. and closed completely from 8 a.m. until about 10 a.m., or until the last runner has cleared the area, according to a Steamship Authority press release.

Travelers should expect travel delays along Woods Hole Road and Palmer Avenue all day as a result of the race.
