False alarm triggered at Lancaster’s Park City Center

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — The Lancaster Bureau of Police has confirmed that an active shooter alarm that was sent to employees at a Lancaster County mall was a false alarm.

According to police, on Wed, Feb. 14 at around 8 a.m. police were notified of an active shooter alarm that was sent out to multiple employees of Park City Center. Police then learned that the alarm was set off accidentally.

Officers said that a Park City staff member set off the automated alarm system and a message was sent out to multiple employees before the system could be turned off.

The Lancaster Bureau of Police can confirm that there was no active shooter incident and the Park City Center is open for business.
