An iconic Italian tenor is bringing his U.S. tour to Louisville toward the end of 2023.

Andrea Bocelli, the world famous singer from Italy, is set to perform at the KFC Yum Center this fall, a release from the downtown arena said. He'll take the stage on Dec. 2, with tickets hitting the market on April 24.

His performance will feature the Louisville Orchestra as well, backing him up with Music Director Teddy Abrams. In a social media post, the group said it is "so excited" to join the performer.

The show in December will mark Bocelli's first show in Louisville, the release said, with performances from all over his repertoire. The show will keep with the season and include a holiday touch as well, with selections from his album "A Family Christmas."

Bocelli, who has been blind since age 12, has sold nearly 90 million records across the globe in his more than 20-year career, the release said. His 1995 single "Con te Partirò" was a No. 1 hit in several European countries and has been sampled by several other artists over the years.

Presale tickets for Citi cardholders will hit the market at 10 a.m. Monday on the banking company's website. At 10 a.m. Wednesday, KFC Yum Center Insider members and Andrea Bocelli Fan Club members will have access to presale tickets as well.

General sale tickets will be available beginning at 10 a.m. April 24 at ticketmaster.com and the KFC Yum Center box office.
