Families of 3 Kansas City men found dead meet with prosecutor
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More than three weeks after three bodies were found outside a Northland home in Kansas City, the families of those men met with the Platte County prosecutor.
It all comes the same day that, according to a family member, the man who lived in the home checked into rehab to “face his addiction head on.”

The families of all three men found dead were represented in Wednesday’s meeting.
They’re mourning David Harrington, Clayton McGeeney and Ricky Johnson. The three men went to their friend Jordan Willis’s home to watch the Kansas City Chiefs’ final regular season game on Jan. 7. They were found dead two days later.
The most important thing to these families is that now they feel as though this is being taken seriously — not only by police but also by prosecutors, according to the attorney for Johnson’s family.
They said the first step to closure will only be achieved once there are answers available.
“I want to see what action is being taken, and that’s most important — what action is being taken,” said Caleb McGeeney, the cousin of Clayton McGeeney.
It’s a brutal and cruel wait for answers. These three families are caught in the middle of grieving and desperately trying to understand what could have happened at that Kansas City home.

“You want it to be correct at the end of the day, and that’s what I hope — that when the end of the day comes out, it comes out correct” Caleb McGeeney said.
Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd said, at this time, they still are waiting for Kansas City police to conclude their portion of this investigation.
While these families met with Zahnd, FOX4 has learned Willis finds himself in rehab.
According to Fox News, once Willis moved out of the home, he checked into rehab, a source says, to address his problem with addiction.
FOX4 also learned the three men were alive in the wee hours of Monday morning maybe as early as 1:30 a.m. It wasn’t until late Tuesday night that McGeeney’s fiancée went looking for him, broke into the home and found a body.
But as the nation remains puzzled by this bizarre mystery, it’s clear that what those closest to Johnson, McGeeney and Harrington want is justice and accountability.

“I’m hopeful that these families, we get some closure on this, and having some answers is what they need to have some closure,” said Ross Nigro, attorney for the Johnson family.
FOX4 has reached out to Willis’s attorney. We are waiting to hear back.
Right now Kansas City police are still waiting for the result of the toxicology report, which could still be more than a month out.
