Family of 11 Rescued After Boat Capsizes in Tampa Bay

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) thanked local boaters who helped its marine unit to rescue a family of 11 from the waters of Tampa Bay, Florida, after their boat capsized on Sunday, June 12.

The HCSO said in a press release they received a call at 5:24 pm on Sunday reporting several people stranded in the water east of Beer Can Island with their boat capsized. The HCSO Aviation Unit surveyed the scene and found nearby boaters coming to the aid of the people in the water.

The footage, captured by the HCSO, shows the marine unit rescuing people in the water.
