KRISTINE JOHNSON: And as gun violence made headlines in tonight's debate, family gathered in Far Rockaway to remember 10-year-old Justin Wallace, gunned down last week. A vigil was held at Challenge Charter School, where the fifth grader was set to graduate. Justin died just days before his 11th birthday when police say a gunman opened fire outside his home Saturday night. His mother held back tears while speaking about her beloved son.
ARETHA WALLACE: He's my angel. Somehow, he's looking over me. Justin loved his school, he loved his family, and he loved his friends. Anyone who knew him could have tell.
KRISTINE JOHNSON: The suspect 29-year-old, Jovan Young, was arraigned yesterday on murder charges.
